Abstracts:
Two patients with mild elevation of transaminase who were subsequently
identified through IgG by EIA and PCR serological studies as having Hepatitis-C,
and who exhibited chronic exhaustion and general malaise, were initially
given Vitamin C intravenously on a weekly schedule until their oral preparation
of Specific Transfer Factor was completed. The intravenous solutions were
discontinued at the time the Transfer Factor was begun. At the time of
initial administration, the patients were able to return to work and participate
in moderate exercise. At four weeks they resumed extended travel and their
daily routine. At two months, transaminase, albumin, neutrophils, and lymphocytes
all returned to normal values. At three months, all laboratory reports
were repeated and the PCR´s had dropped from the initial value of
over 4 million to 900,000. This is a continuing study and serology studies
will be performed at three month intervals, for two years. The next laboratory
results are due February 12, 1999.
